AIDS Walk Volunteer Teams
Check-In/Registration ensures that all walkers have registered for the event, turned in any last minute donations, collected their walk credentials, and any incentive items earned through fundraising. Check-In serves all walkers who registered online and Registration is for walkers who arrive for the first time on Sunday, March 15.
Safety Corner Marshals assist walkers on the route at intersections or other areas that need traffic flow support to ensure walker safety. Volunteers will adhere to all local jurisdiction and police guidelines. Requires standing for extended periods of time.
Pit Stop/Water Station sets up early in the morning. This team runs pit stops and water stations along the route, which provide water, sports drinks and/or snacks. Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs.
Volunteer Orientation
Before the walk, volunteers will gather for an orientation to learn more about the event and finalize assignment details. They will meet their team captain and other volunteers, ask questions, and get details about how to support the walkers at the event. We will introduce event staff, preview the route map and locations, practice with any equipment or forms you will be working with and answer any questions you may have.
(location/date TBD)
